The CS Writing Requirement
Each student concentrating in computer science is required to pass a course that involves significant expository writing. In particular, the course should satisfy the following two conditions.Each student should obtain a writing-requirement form (available on-line and from departmental faculty and staff), get it signed by the professor of the writing course, and turn it in to a member of the departmental faculty or staff.
- Each student in the course must write at least two essays, and
- students are graded in part on their ability to write a coherent, well-argued essay.
